Focus on optimizing each web page in your website.
More and more people today are searching the web to locate services and products. Ranking refers to where your page lists/ranks when individuals search for particular keywords or phrases. For example, if your web site pertains to Web Design Services and a search is conducted for "web design", in the list of results, if your site is list within the first few hits the page is ranked high. However, if your site is not listed for several pages then you page ranks low.
